KitKat 4.4.2 For Huawei Honor 3X G750-T00

Two days ago we wrote about the Android 4.4 KitKat Emotion UI 2.3 firmware release for the Huawei Honor 3C smartphones in the Chinese region. Now Huawei has also released the Android KitKat EMUI 2.3 update for the Honor 3X G750-T00 China Mobile version of the phone. Honor 3X G750-T00 is a CDMA+GSM device which was released only in China.

Since this is a cheap phone which can be purchased for around $300 from the internet, 

G750-T00 became popular in the international markets. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to flash this on other types of Honor 3X smartphones released internationally. This firmware is made available only for the G750-T00.

This new firmware is categorized as a developer version. So this means that there might be bugs and you have to be running B611 firmware to install this new firmware version. Your Apps and Google Play services will be retained after the upgrade but don’t forget to take backups just in case if something goes wrong.

This firmware comes with a bunch of new features such as improvements to the camera and newly added power saving features. + Installation requirement.

   - Firmware Build number: B611 or v4.8.1 installed on your phone
   - create a full backup of your device to avoid loss of phone’s data that gets erased during installation.
   - download Rom

+ How to do

   - Download the firmware package on your PC using the aforementioned link.

   - Connect your Honor 3X to the PC using a USB cable in mass storage mode.

   - Create a new folder name “dload” in the microSD card.

   - Copy the firmware package you downloaded earlier to dload.

   - Disconnect the USB cable and turn off your phone (make sure it vibrates before you proceed to the next step).

   - Reboot into Recovery Mode by holding Volume Down + Volume Up + Power button for 5-6 seconds.

  - Your phone will automatically search for the update package and flash it. Wait for a few minutes until it gets completed.

  - Reboot the device and experience the new OS!

This firmware already contains Gapps (Google apps) so you don’t have to worry about flashing them again. In case you encounter any problem, feel free to mention it in the comments section below!
